Welcome to The Write Tuition.As the picture shows I’m not one of those formal suit and tie tutors, so if that’s what you’re looking for then I’m sorry. Let me ask you three questions, so you can decide if you’re interested in becoming one of my students.

My main aim in the early stages is to help you discover your abilities as a writer before getting too hung up on the finer details. To help find your own niche as a writer, your strengths and weaknesses. I’ll help you develop the essential Writer’s Eye, and Writer’s Ears, a major boost for fiction writers. It will also help the writer of non-fiction.

For the more advanced I can offer help with specific problem areas, such as dialogue, plotting, or brainstorming an idea. Tell me what you consider to be a problem and I’ll let you know if I can help. If I can’t I’ll tell you, maybe even suggest someone else who can. For example.I don’t teach poetry or film script writing. The first I sometimes dabble in for my own amusement, but the second I’ve never even attempted so I’d be a charlatan if I offered to teach it.

Initially I prefer to work by personal e-mails, although later there may a chance to use various interactive on-line modules. Why e-mail? Because nearly everyone has e-mail and it works well for personal tuition rather than a set course.

Payment? For details you’ll have to email me, but I think you’ll be agreeably surprised, and because I’m not offering a set ‘course’ as such you can pay as you go, so there’s no need to find a hefty sum ‘up front’.
